Rules & Terms:
  • Submissions must be original works created by the entrant and must not infringe on any copyright or trademark.

  • Films of any genre and length are accepted for submission, but must have been completed after January 1, 2019.

  • Submissions must be in English or have English subtitles.

  • Entrants may submit multiple films, but each film must be submitted separately along with the required entry fee.

  • By submitting a film to the Cologne Movie Marathon, entrants grant the festival the right to screen their film online for promotional purposes.

  • The decision of the festival judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding their decisions.

  • Entrants must ensure they have all necessary rights and permissions to use any copyrighted material in their film.

  • The festival organizers reserve the right to disqualify any film that does not meet the submission guidelines or is deemed inappropriate.

  • Winners will be announced at the conclusion of the festival and will receive a digital laurel to signify their achievement.

  • Entrants are responsible for ensuring their film is of suitable quality for online streaming and should be prepared to provide a high-resolution version if requested.

  • By submitting a film to the Cologne Movie Marathon, entrants agree to all festival rules and guidelines.
